A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Masks and social distancing will be observed. As this is a military funeral, we will all gather at the gates and proceed to the graveside at 11:00 a.m.
Robert was born on March 11, 1943 to William Edwin Graham and Robbie Pauline Maxwell Graham in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Our loving father, Robert Earl Graham, is now with his heavenly Father. There is speculation he is still just inside the pearly gates asking questions and sharing his many testimonies of his love for Christ. He died as he lived - peacefully and well-loved - due to complications from Covid exacerbated by underlying health conditions. Dad cherished every minute of his 77 years.
A loving and devoted husband to Lanell Savell Graham; beloved father of Melissa Ungerleider, Meredith Graham Villalobo, and Crystal Young; adoring grandfather of Kyra & Tess Ungerleider and Samuel & Elijah Chappell; proud father-in-law to Matt Ungerleider, Antonio Villalobo, and Joe Young; brother to Jewel Tidwell; uncle to wonderful nieces and nephews; cousin and friend to many.
There are three things to know about Dad: He voraciously read his many bibles and looked forward to the day he met Christ; He was deeply in love and doted on our mom and did his best to spoil his daughters and grandchildren; He was likely the most generous and friendly man we have ever known - never meeting a stranger, always taking care of his widowed friends, and never passing by someone in need without sharing a meal, giving his last dollar, and talking of Christ's love with them.
Okay, maybe there's a fourth: He loved to tell corny jokes. Bad ones... so bad that you could not help but smile. To see your smile was always his goal so, maybe the bad jokes were by design.
He is and will be greatly missed.
Honoring Robert as pallbearers will be sons-in-law, grandsons, and brothers-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, we have set up a GoFundMe to send one last donation to dad's favorite missionary. http://gofundme.com/f/in-memoriam-of-robert-graham
